Description?o National Engineering Research Center For Special Pump & Valve (briefed as ?°The Center?± hereafter) was founded in 1995. It was one of the first batch of national engineering and researching centers which was established under the approval of China National Science and Technology Committee.
Beijing Aerospace Propulsion Institute (http://www.calt11.com), being the supporting entity of The Center, was founded in 1958. It is the first such research unit in China, who involved in liquid propellant rocket engine development. Its rocket engine series have successfully sent more than forty domestic and foreign satellites into the outer space. It is most noteworthy that its two super-cryogenic H2-O2 engines are among the most advanced such engines in the world. Its great contribution has made China in the top three of aerospace technology development.
The Center?¯s advanced technologies mostly rooted from its supporting entity, who has forty more years experiences in developing high speed pumps and special purpose valves. Based on absorbing advanced technologies of other people, The Center uses technology as the pilot and makes learning, researching and manufacturing processes coordinate closely with each other; The Center develops pumps and valves of the international level according to the actual need of the engineering applications, and swiftly industrializes them.
To be the ?°Special Equipment Inspection and Assessment Organization for Administrative Licensing " and "First Batch of Special Equipment Type Test Center"??approved by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.China, The Center carries out licensing assessment and type test for domestic made pumps and valves. By means of technical training and technique exchanging, The Center realize the goal of extending technical applications and promoting common development.
