| Description?o National Engineering Research Center of Engineering Plastics (hereinafter referred to as "ERC" for short), which originally relied on the Institute of Chemical Chinese Academy of Sciences, began trial operation in 1989.It is the first special scientific institution engaged in production conversion in China .In 1993, the State Planning Commission formally approved to the operation of ERC. ERC has devoted itself to the research, development and industrialization of engineering plastics over a long period , it is the national high-level industrial base for engineering plastics and various of polymer materials. The Project of ERC , ?°Modified Polyolefine?±, was ranked as the ?°Important among the Important?± of the ?°Seventh 5-Year Plan?± of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the key scientific and technological brainstorm project of the national ?°Eighth 5-Year Plan?±. During the past years, ERC has successively founded and supported more than 10 national enterprises by means of joint venture, technology transfer and technical cooperation and made due contribution to the development of engineering plastics industry. At Present, With the implementation of the ?°Knowledge Innovation Project?± of Chinese Academy of Sciences, ERC is a subsidiary of the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. |
